Hi Guys I wonder if anyone here using Windows lite version like Ghost Spectre and are you not having problems with third party vst plugins also how's CPU load on fl studio vs normal windows OS ?

I had no problems with GhostSpectre builds past years, but always avoided OS updates,
cpu load is somewhat same, but there is better consistency thanks to less background processes active,
recently I started using regular Windows 11 23H2, and only real annoyance is Defender
I'd say if you want solid system, give GhostSpectre a try, but if you need up-to-date system, then regular Windows will be less problematic to update

 

@tzzsmk that's good to hear , what version of Ghost spectre are you using compact or Superlite w/SE ? Oh btw for antivirus I always install Webroot it's very light and easy to use

First of all, the machine that I use to make music stay forever offline.
my system doesn't even know what internet is, hence, I do not have some common problems

Personally I will avoid w11, I could not edit the system like I wish. Even you if manage to install gpedit, w11 reEnable the settings after a reboot.

So, I installed W10 and sliced manually all the shitware, but its a pain in the ass and took me like 3 days of work.

So I would recommend the ghostspectre or the playbook.

Hi, Can you tell if there is a real difference between GhostSpectre and Windows X-Lite ?

 

I can say that xlite works well, does not cause any problems and is stable. Using it with windows firewall control.
Can't say anything about GhostSpectre, haven't tested it yet.

Superlite SE, without Defender, and with StartAllBack - this seems to be best overall,
also there were some recent builds with Rectify11 (redesign of Windows 11) but I had some issues in various programs, so got rid of that

 

I use ghost spector's latest build win 10. everything works great.
I also used phoenix win x-lite and it was great too.

 

Whether it's Windows 10 22H2 lite Ghost Specter or Windows 11 23H2 lite Ghost Specter.
Both are safe values.... I'm running Windows 10 22H2 Lite G.S... No problem with updating and etc...
Everything has been working Nickel for over 7 years....

ghostspectre is the only win ver I ever build with. "updating" any of these OS versions (legit or cracked) is simply asking for trouble not to mention the extra overhead caused by all the idiot services it takes to maintain the spyware and telemetry going on behind the scenes with a connected machine. just because you have somehow dodged the bullet thus far doesn't mean you're not going to get bit later on. it's not a question of if it's a question of when things will start to end up hosed. then we'll all see the inevitable thread appear on AS with a subject line "my <insert name of malfunctioning app(s) here> suddenly stopped working - for no reason"... well, there is a reason and it's usually self inflicted...
